DSA Objectives are:

  • To provide advice and support on training and education on Defence Standardization, through the provision of tailored training modules, serious games and e-learning services.
  • To provide recommendations and solutions to emerging defence standardization challenges through the elaboration of Defence and Security Research and Development Studies.
  • To support Governmental Authorities and Industry Stakeholders to define and implement Strategies on Defence Standardization Management, through consultation programs.
  • To provide advice on building up interoperable defence capabilities and on the implementation of defence standards.
  • To provide advice on best practices on defence standardization worldwide.
  • To provide advice and support on strengthening the relations between the Defence and Security Standardization Stakeholders, the Defence Industry and the Academia on Defense Standardization Projects.
  • To provide advice and support on strengthening the cooperation between Civil Standards Developing Organizations (SDOs) and Defence / Security Standardization Stakeholders on using suitable civil standards in defence projects.

DSA is a subcontractor of the NATO Maritime Interdiction Operational Training Centre (NMIOTC) in Crete / Greece and the Military University of the Technology (MUT) in Warsaw/Poland in support of Accredited NATO Standardization Courses for NATO Standardization Managers and NATO Standards Custodians.

DSA has established cooperation agreements with MoD Norway, Sweden and Cyprus) and Standards Developing Organisations (SDOs) (CYS – Cyprus and ETSI) in support of Capacity Building Programs on a) Defence Standardization, b) Defence Planning Interoperability Requirements and c) Selecting Standards for Defence Procurements in Europe.

In early 2023, DSA hold an international webinar on Standards in Defence Procurements in cooperation with ASD Europe, ASD/STAN and CEN/CENELEC.

In July 2023, DSA in cooperation with the Norwegian Company  House of Knowledge (HoK) designed, developed and delivered Digital Knowledge Reinforcement Tools and Serious Games on the NATO Standardization Process in support of NMIOTC and NATO International Staff / Defence Investment Division training activities.

In February 2024, DSA  evaluated and selected by NATO DIANA as a potential mentor on Standardization for the DIANA network Start-Up Companies.

DSA is a member of the Hellenic Manufacturers of Defence Materiel Association (SEKPY).
